Enjoy the great outdoors with our Primitive or Hook-Up Camp Sites situated on our scenic property here at Fort Valley Ranch with free WiFi. We offer guided horseback riding and ax and archery as well. Come enjoy an afternoon riding through the Shenandoah mountains, with cool shaded trees, crossing a creek and riding along side a waterfall. When riding at the ranch, guests enjoy the tranquil setting of the woods, often spotting wildlife, like a bear , turkey, deer, raccoon or snake. Our horses are fitted for beginner riders and we have options for all ages. Six-year-olds and up can join a one hour ride, 1.5 hour trail rides are good for 7-year-olds and up. 2.5 hour lunch rides are great for a longer time in the saddle and for those more experienced. Kids under 6 can sign up for a hand led horse ride around the ranch. Guided Private rides available Seasonally extra cost, upon request and availability. The campground at Fort Valley Ranch borders the George Washington National Forest providing great hiking. Even more hiking is available near Skyline Drive and nearby Shenandoah National Park. Also located 15 minutes from Luray Caverns and two tourist towns, campers can take advantage of kayak and tubing rentals from nearby outfitters, and can get access to other modern conveniences, shopping, and even wineries.
